Door hinge rivet inspection
Details:
Crestline recommends an inspectionof door hinge rivets on all Crestline vehicles in your fleet. Replace
any rivet inwhich the head ismissingby drilling out the remaining rivet shaft witha drill bit no larger than
17/64”, andapply anew¼” x 5/8” aluminum rivet. To inspect rivets on thedoor sideof the hinge, gently
push the rubber weather seal far enough to expose the rivet head. Usea flat blade screwdriver topush
against theheadof the rivet toensure its rigidity.
This initial inspection can occur during the vehicle’s next service. Please add this inspectionprocedure to
your preventativemaintenanceprogram so that all rivets areexaminedat least onceevery6-month
period. Thank you.
