Starting under the hood, remove or disconnect all conversion related electrical components. Save
for later use if possible.
Remove the auto throttle if not alreadydone.
Moving to the front cab area, remove andor disconnect all under hood conversion components.
Disconnect the factory seat belts from thewall structure.
Remove all trimpanels and cushions in the cab area so theycanbeused for thenext chassis.
Also remove the frontwalk through exit pad.
Remove thebucket seats.
Remove thedriver console.
Remove the side panels behind the driver’s and passenger’s bucket seats so the cab to body bolts
are visible. Remove all of these bolts. Although this manual is intended as a guide only, we do
recommend that you remove the cab to body bolts prior to loosening or removing the chassis to
bodybolts as theremaybe some twisting forceswhen the chassis tobodybolts are removed.
Once the cab to body bolts have been removed, remove the body to chassis mounting bolts.
Typically, there are eight bolts to remove.
Using the four-point hoist, slowly raise themodular boxwhile keeping a close eye to ensure that all
possible components havebeen suitablydisconnectedor removed.
Please note that the front lift points coulduse spacers to tip thebox to the rear during removal. This
mayhelp inmaintaining adequate clearances between the box and the cab during the lift sequence.
DONOT allow the cab to body seal to ride the front wall of themodular box as thismay damage
the finishon the front of thebox.
Driveor push the chassis out fromunderneath thebody.
And finally, inspect all components that have been removed and are planned for use on the next
chassis (especially the electrical harnesses) and replace as necessary.
