RemountManual
INTRODUCTION
ACrestline remount will meet or exceedDepartment of Transportation requirements. It should be
noted that as amanufacturer Crestline has at its disposal many highly skilled individuals that on a
daily routine build new ambulances. We have a full compliment of equipment for just that purpose
and do not rely on other sources for repairs. When you have your remount done byCrestline you
can rest assured that you are dealing with a company that has passed the stringent requirement of
FordsQVMprogram aswellwe are a recognizedDepartment ofTransportationbuilder.
The following recommendations and procedures relate to the remounting of a Crestline modular
body as built on a new chassis. Thismanual purposefully contains general information only and is
intended to provide you with the necessary background information to facilitate a successful
remount.
The remount process is not a complicated procedure; however, Crestline cannot guarantee that the
subsequent chassis to be used for the remount is identical to the original chassis; therefore, an
element of "common sense" exists when performing the remount. If you run into a procedure that
is questionable, please call aCrestline representative. The adage "an ounce of prevention is worth
more than apoundof cure" can't be truer thanduring the remount procedure.
