RemountManual
BASICREQUIREMENTS
Certain skilled people will be required to do a remount. An electrician, environmental systems
technician, fabricator, and assemblerwill certainlybeof benefit during the remount process.
In addition to this manual, a copy of the vehicle owner's manual and video tape (that was issued
with the vehicle at time of purchase) should also be at hand. The vehiclemanual contains detailed
electrical information andother relevant information that couldbe invaluable.
Also, it is imperative that the remounter be conscious of the rule and regulations that govern all
vehicles that are used inCanada. CanadianMotorVehicleSafetyStandardsmust be adhered to and
the completed remount must have a Statement of Compliance Sticker as detailed by CMVSS.
Generally, the IncompleteVehicleManual that is supplied by theO.E.M. chassismanufacturewill
list all sections that require the attentionof the remounter.
Depending on the date of manufacture of the vehicle to be remounted, there may or may not be
components that have to be upgraded or added to the completed unit such that it meets all
applicable provincial regulations. These can only be determined at the time of remount. Consult
the customer for specifics.
