Disconnect Hoses
•
Carefullywork theA/C-Heater unit partway out so
that you can access the hoses
•
Disconnect the heater hoses from their fittings
o
The heater hoses are the hoses not covered
withPrestige tape
o
Use vice-clamps to clampoff heater hoses
from leaking
o
Loosen the hose clamps on the heater hoses
o
Pull the hoses off the fittings
If necessary, use a screwdriver to
work the hose free of the fitting, but
be careful tonot damage the fitting
•
Disconnect theA/C hoses
o
Use a razor knife to cut the Prestige tape
Cut between the copper lines, over
the expansion valve, andbetween
the hoses
Be careful tonot damage the hoses
o
Peel the Prestige tape back to gain access to
the expansion valve and the hose fittings
