RemountManual
BASICREQUIREMENTS
Certain skilled people will be required to do a remount. An electrician, environmental systems
technician, fabricator, andassemblerwill certainlybeof benefit during the remount process.
Inaddition to thismanual, acopy of thevehicleowner'smanual andvideo tape (thatwas issuedwith the
vehicle at time of purchase) should also be at hand. The vehicle manual contains detailed electrical
informationandother relevant information that couldbe invaluable.
Also, it is imperative that the remounter be conscious of the rule and regulations that govern all vehicles
that are used in Canada. Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards must be adhered to and the
completed remount must have a Statement of Compliance Sticker as detailedbyCMVSS. Generally,
the IncompleteVehicleManual that is supplied by theO.E.M. chassismanufacturewill list all sections
that require theattentionof the remounter.
Depending on the date of manufacture of the vehicle to be remounted, there may or may not be
components that have to be upgraded or added to the completed unit such that it meets all applicable
provincial regulations. These can only be determined at the time of remount. Consult the customer for
specifics.
