ISSUE:

THE POSITIONING OF THE YELLOW SAFETY HOOKS ON THE FIRST YEAR DEMERS

DUAL STRETCHER AMBULANCES MAY RESULT IN THE HOOKS NOT CATCHING CORRECTLY

WHEN LOADING OR UNLOADING COTS. THE ISSUE MAY ARISE WHEN THE COT

STRADDLES BOTH HOOKS, WHERE ONE HOOK WILL RAISE THE STRETCHER CATCH BAR

MISSING THE SECOND HOOK.

ACTION:

RELOCATE THE RIGHT SAFETY HOOK & SEAL THE PREVIOUS HOLES

APPROPRIATELY.

SERVICE PROCDURE:

1. Identify the safety hook as per Figure 1.

2. Remove silicone to have access to the bolts.

3. Remove bolts holding the safety hooks. The retaining Nuts are located under the vehicle.

4. Refer to Figure 2 below for the new mounting location of the safety hook.
