ISSUE

This bulletin is to inform owners of Demers Ambulances that a modification of the Power

Steering reservoir hose is required. It has been brought to our attention that the power

steering supply hose that is secured to the steering column has potential to rub through the

column support rib. (See photos attached)

ACTION

Modification of the failed transfer hose from the power steering reservoir to the pump is

required during the next regular service scheduled. Please perform the modification as per

the attached documentation.

The original power steering hose is about 20" long and too short to reroute, Purchase 28” of

5/8 hose from Lordco (part # H10110) or equivalent. To complete the repair drain the

reservoir, replace the hose routing and fastening as detailed in the picture. Re-bleed the

power steering system and check for leakage and interference.

NOTE: Please make sure the hose is routed in such a way that it will not rub against

accessory drive belt (like the alternator belt).
