Driver’sConsoleandSwitchFunctions
YourAmbulancehasbeenequippedwitha stateof theart driver control console. Thedriver console
is located in the front cab and is attached to the engine cover. This console contains the following
functions.
AMBCONNECT----- activating this switch engages the ambulance conversion electrical power.
This switchmust be "ON" touse any of the non-chassis functions. Also, the
engine has to be running in order to operate any of the conversion functions
other than theones controlledby theLifeSupport Solenoidand strobe lights.
STROBE--------------- has two settings. Use high during day and low during night. The switch
activates all strobe emergency lights currently installed for this function.
(The strobe lights operatewhen thevehicle is not running.)
FLASHER------------- activates all halogen flashing emergency lights currently installed for this
function.
LIGHTBAR----------- activates the light barmountedon the front and rear of thebox.
WIGWAG------------- activates the wig wag headlights, causing them to flash in an alternating
pattern.
FOG/DRIVING------- Thehighbeamsmust beon inorder for this switch to activate thedriving
(LIGHTS)lights. Thepark lightsmust beon inorder for theFogLights to function.
LEFTSCENE--------- turningon this switchwill activate the left side (street side) scene lights.
REARSCENE-------- this switch controls the rear scene / loading lights.
RIGHTSCENE------- this switch controls the right side (curb side) scene lights.
SPARE------------------ for future switch.
DOORAJARLIGHT alerts you if anyof the compartment doors arenot closed completely.
DCVOLTGAUGE -- thevolt gauge indicates thevoltage level of the conversionbattery.
SURESTART--------- activation of this switch will allow the ambulance conversion battery to be
used as aboost assist for the chassis battery supply.
