RE: General Motors (GM) Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Brake Pad Shortage
Fleet has learned that GM has temporarily ceased production of the OEM and some AC Delco brake
pads that are currently authorized for BCAS ambulance fleet.
Action:
In the event that OEM or AC Delco OEM equivalent brake linings cannot be attained for the BCAS GM
fleet due to manufacturer shortages, Fleet Operations is temporarily authorizing the installation of AC
Delco 17D784CH Professional Durastop Ceramic Front Disc Brake Pad Set to keep ambulances
operational.
When applicable always install OEM or AC Delco OEM equivalent brake pads on the BCAS Fleet.
