Re: Stair Chair Restraint Belt Anchor Bolt Upgrade - Demers
To prevent loosening of restraint belt for stair chairs, the mounting hardware for the restraint belt
must be updated. BCAS Fleet Operations request the following procedure to be preformed to all
Demers built vehicles 62800 - 92981.
Crestline built vehicles do not apply.
Procedure:
Remove the screw holding the stair chair belt from right and left side of side patient door and
discard screws.
Drill 25/64”
holes
into door at existing screw hole locations.
Install the supplied Nutsert and reinstall the belt using supplied hardware with lock tight.
Belt anchors must be installed pointing toward outside edges of the door. (See picture)
Hardware kits have been sent to affected service centers.
The labour time allowed for this modification is
