Demers Coolant Shut-Off Valve Access and Location

ISSUE:

The Demers ambulances incorporate an electronic coolant shut-off valve that opens for

heat and closes for cooling. There may be instances where the rear heater doesn’t produce

heat, or the air conditioning doesn’t produce cold air due to this valve sticking.

The valve is located behind the cabinet panel located on the left interior of the ambulance. The

valve and hoses should be inspected and tested if the above concern has been indicated.

Be sure to neatly re-silicone the panel back in place.

Locate panel. Remove silicone from edges

Pull out the lower

portion of the panel

Remove the panel

Inspect hoses and valve
