If welding is required, disconnect PCM and
batteries

Make sure all bodymounting pucks are tight and
compressed (torque to published requirements)

Check fuel tankmounting bolts installed and tight
(torque to published requirements)

Verify that no bolts or screws are over or pointed
toward the fuel tank(s), fuel filler(s), or vent hoses.
Any fastener projections in close proximity should
be shielded or removed to preclude penetration in a
crash
Inspect for any screw holes and loose fasteners in
the floor of frame
Make sure all tubing ends and screw holes are
sealed
Silicone holewhere harnesses pass through the
floor
Ensure that all door pin cover plates are installed.
Ensure that all wires are cable tied.
Ensure that frame grounds are tight, spray
undercoating over these areas.
Tape oil sending unit
Tape A/C connections between cab and box

Install heat shield to cover wire loom from
exhaust, front passenger side of box
Install spare tire carrier (if required)
þ
Install sway bar as per instructions (if required)
Prior toUndercoat
-mask off box accordingly:
- sides, gaps on running boards, gap between
bumper and body, back-up alarm
þ
Undercoat:
- sides of cab and wheel wells
- all areas of box floor excluding heat shields
- exposed bolts in conversion wheel well area
- stay away from exhaust & tailpipe (floor not to be
undercoated in these areas)
- when done inspect for thin or missed areas
When complete pull off tape and lower vehicle
